The Collector’s Guide

Helpful Information for Every Adventure

Welcome to the Collector’s Guide

Whether you are choosing your first handcrafted binder, adding a new treasure to your collection, or ordering a one-of-a-kind artisan piece, this guide will help you understand what to expect when shopping with MADA Artisans.

Here you will find information about handmade variations, processing, shipping, trading-card condition, product care, returns, and getting help from our family workshop.

Find What You Need

Before You Order

MADA Artisans offers a mixture of handcrafted creations, customized products, curated collector goods, and trading cards. Product details may differ depending on the type of item selected.

Ready-to-Ship Items

These products are already completed or in stock and generally require only order preparation, packing, and carrier pickup.

Made-to-Order Items

These pieces are created or finished after purchase and may require additional processing time before they are ready to ship.

Custom Commissions

Custom work requires a separate conversation, design approval, quote, estimated timeline, and any required deposit before production begins.

Collector Merchandise

Trading cards, sealed products, supplies, and other curated goods may follow manufacturer packaging and condition standards rather than handmade-product guidelines.

Handmade Means One of a Kind

Many MADA creations are made, assembled, decorated, painted, pressed, poured, engraved, or finished by hand. Slight differences are a natural part of the handmade process and help make each piece unique.

Variations may include differences in color placement, resin patterns, wood grain, painted details, stitching, alignment, texture, engraving, surface finish, or the position of decorative elements.

Product photographs are intended to represent the overall design. Unless a listing identifies the exact photographed item, the piece you receive may not be perfectly identical to the sample image.

Processing & Shipping

Processing time is the period our family needs to prepare, create, inspect, pack, and hand your order to the shipping carrier. It is separate from the carrier’s delivery time.

Order Processing

Processing varies by product. Ready-to-ship goods are generally prepared more quickly than handmade, personalized, or made-to-order products. Any estimated processing information shown in the product listing should be reviewed before purchase.

Mixed Orders

When an order contains both ready-to-ship and made-to-order products, the entire order may be held until all items are complete. We may divide the shipment when practical, but additional shipping costs may apply.

Tracking Information

When tracking is available, it will be sent to the email address or contact information provided at checkout. Tracking may take time to update after the carrier receives the package.

Convention Weekends

Because our family regularly attends conventions and markets, processing or response times may occasionally be longer around major events. We appreciate your patience while our workshop is on the road.

Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Contact us as soon as possible if an address needs correction. Changes may not be possible after fulfillment begins.

Carrier Delays

Once a package has been accepted by the carrier, delivery timing may be affected by weather, holidays, service disruptions, or other circumstances outside our control.

Full shipping terms will be available on our Shipping Policy Page.

Trading Card Condition Guide

Unless otherwise stated, raw trading cards are evaluated visually using generally recognized hobby condition categories. Condition is not a guarantee of professional grading results.

Near Mint

A clean card with little to no visible wear under ordinary viewing. Very minor imperfections may still be present.

Lightly Played

A card showing minor wear such as light edge whitening, small surface marks, or other signs of careful handling.

Moderately Played

A card with noticeable wear that may include whitening, scratches, surface wear, small bends, or other visible imperfections.

Heavily Played or Damaged

A card with significant wear, creasing, dents, tears, water damage, heavy scratching, or other substantial imperfections. These issues should be disclosed in the listing.

Photographs should be reviewed carefully before purchase. Please contact us before ordering when a card’s exact condition is especially important to your collection.

Returns, Exchanges & Order Issues

We want customers to receive the item they ordered in the condition reasonably expected from its listing.

Contact Us Promptly

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or substantially different from the item ordered, contact us promptly with your order information and clear photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping label.

Keep the Packaging

Please keep the item and all original packaging while the issue is being reviewed. The carrier or MADA Artisans may require photographs or additional information.

Custom and Personalized Items

Custom, personalized, and made-to-order products generally cannot be returned simply because the customer changes their mind. Problems involving damage, defects, or an error by our workshop will be reviewed individually.

Collectibles and Sealed Products

Return eligibility may be restricted for opened sealed products, trading cards, collectibles, clearance items, convention purchases, and products whose condition has changed after delivery.

Complete terms will be listed in our Refund Policy.

Caring for Your Treasures

Thoughtful care helps handcrafted and collector items remain beautiful and functional for longer.

Binders

Store binders upright or flat in a cool, dry location. Avoid overfilling, excessive pressure, prolonged sunlight, high heat, moisture, and harsh cleaning products.

Resin Creations

Keep resin away from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight. Clean gently with a soft cloth. Do not soak or use abrasive chemicals.

Woodworks

Wipe with a soft dry or lightly damp cloth unless specific care instructions are provided. Avoid soaking, dishwashers, extreme temperature changes, and prolonged moisture.

Jewelry

Store jewelry dry and separate from items that may scratch or tangle. Remove before bathing, swimming, exercising, or using strong fragrances and household chemicals.

Playmats & Fabric Items

Follow product-specific washing instructions. When uncertain, use gentle spot cleaning and avoid high heat, bleach, and abrasive scrubbing.

Painted Miniatures

Handle painted pieces carefully by sturdy areas rather than delicate details. Store away from high heat, moisture, direct sunlight, and locations where they may fall.

Common Questions

A few quick answers for collectors shopping with our family.

Are all MADA products handmade?

No. Our shop includes handmade and customized pieces alongside curated trading cards, collectibles, supplies, apparel blanks, licensed goods, and other products selected for collectors. Each listing should explain the nature of the item.

Can I request a different design or character?

Customization may be available depending on the product, materials, artwork, equipment, permissions, and current workshop schedule. Visit our Custom Orders page to begin a conversation.

Can I pick up an order at a convention?

Convention pickup may occasionally be arranged in advance, but it is not guaranteed. The order must be fully confirmed and completed before the event, and pickup details must be approved by our family.

What should I do if I still have questions?

Contact us before placing your order. We would rather help clarify the product, condition, timeline, or available options before purchase than leave you uncertain.

Still Need a Helping Hand?

Our family is happy to help with product questions, card condition, custom-order inquiries, and other concerns before you purchase.
